CMHA - Durham has been fortunate to have an active group of volunteer committee members working with us in educating the community on mental health issues. This committee is supported by, and consists of, professional representation from many different Agencies/Organizations from the Durham Region. This committee meets, approximately on a quarterly basis, to discuss, identify, and plan for community education. Thanks to the excellent team of professionals who form the committee and are committed to supporting the initiatives of the CMHA Resource Cenre for Wellness and Learning.

Our goal is to continue to provide conferences, workshops and educational sessions with Keynote speakers to enhance the education of service providers, as well as the general public, around mental health issues and creating a sense of community. We believe that by providing such forums and making them available to the community it will help individuals, as well as service providers, to enhance their skills and abilities which will then better enhance the Durham Region community.
